Overview

The CS-GIIB is a flexible, low voltage, 4-phase leg integrated inverter that has been designed for applications requiring a single simple controller with external power stage. The board has 8 gate driver outputs capable of driving up to a 50kVA power stage and sufficient digital and analog conditioned signals to enable it to operate, with plug-in CS-MiniDSP /CPT-Mini2810 processor card, as a standalone system.

 

Technical Specifications


The board consists of 6 major sections:

  • Switch-mode power supply to generate all on-card supplies
  • 8 off complementary isolated gate driver PWM outputs, with common fault interrupt
  • Isolated RS-232 serial interface
  • Various Signal conditioning for 16 off Analog inputs
  • LCD / Keypad / Digital I/O
  • DAC outpus


    • The CS-GIIB is capable of interfacing to 300A/1200V IGBTs. Sufficient flexibility has been designed in to the power stage to permit operation in any of the following configurations:

  • Single bus, Dual-H Bridge inverter (back-to back DC converter operation)
  • Single bus 3 leg inverter
  • Dual bus 3 leg inverter with single leg buck
  • Single bus 4 leg inverter
